The Bronze is awarded to the Industrial Designers for excellence in design for the Lincs™ Under Cabinet Lighting system. The unique features are a double circuit plug together system that allows the installer to link the light modules together without hard wiring them. Thus the "Lincs" name. The basic module provides for 17 different sizes in both T-5 and T-8 size fluorescent lamps. There are also Halogen modules that can be operated independently on the second circuit. The manufacturing costs for Lincs are exactly the same as the previous under cabinet light fixture, however the new design provides a 40% increase in value compared to the painted sheet metal fixture. The new Lincs provides Alkco a total paradigm shift in under cabinet lighting.
